Nikon's Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC is said to arrive October 28–29, at over $16,000
The rumor
Nikon Rumors expects the announcement on October 28 or 29. The lens has a built-in 1.4x teleconverter and is said to weigh about 2.6 kg, close to Canon's RF 100-300mm f/2.8 and well under Nikon's older F-mount 120-300mm. It's rumored to become Nikon's most expensive lens, above the Z 400mm f/2.8 TC, possibly over $16,000, with very limited production. Nikon Rumors had put it at around $8,000 back in May. The Z70 is expected next, in November.

My take · Plausible
Nikon usually follows Canon's lead, and since buying RED it's been leaning hard into video. I'd expect its lenses to be getting more video-friendly too, and this one may be part of that.
