Sony's Rialto 65 is listed at B&H for $80,000, ahead of its 2027 release

The rumor

B&H has listed Sony's Rialto 65 for $80,000 as a special order. It's the large-format sensor block for the Venice 2 cinema camera that Sony announced in development in June, without a price, and Sony still gives only the first half of 2027 for its release. Its sensor is 123% larger than full frame and about a third larger than those in Fujifilm's GFX and Hasselblad's X2D. It records 9.6K in a 1.5:1 open gate or 2.20:1, has base ISOs of 2500 and 10000 with more than 15 stops of latitude at ISO 2500, and takes 11 drop-in ND filters the camera recognizes automatically.
